The PSA Balloon was a major symbol of PSA advertising in the mid-1980s. Cyd Holmes recently gave me some pictures of the balloon in operation, and they are presented here for your enjoyment:

In early 1982, PSA offered a Super 80 program to demonstrate the aircraft for employees. These pictures were taken in San Diego - other programs were held in SFO and Long Beach. Youngsters were given the opportunity to listen to recordings of the radio activity at SFO's control tower.
